We have received a number of complaints and concerns regarding Rogue Traders exploiting vulnerable people by undertaking unnecessary work at their homes for large amounts of money. The following link provides practical advice to avoid being deceived by these people:

You can also find practical advice on dealing with Rogue Traders and other useful information via the Brackley Section of Northants Police Website:!/SouthNorthantsBrackleyUpdates

Your local Policing Team fully supports local Face Book pages; ‘Brackley Burglary Crime and Prevention’ & ‘Northamptonshire Streetwatch’. We would encourage you to use these sites to receive crime prevention advice that is relevant to concerns and fears experienced locally. Discussion of issues is encouraged on these sites but please report any criminal matters direct to Police in the first instance to avoid delays in investigations being started.
