The 40th annual Alderton Arts Festival and the annual outdoor plays on The Mount take place Saturday and Sunday, 3 and 4 September. Proceeds go to Saint Margaret’s Church and the Milton Keynes Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
Inside Saint Margaret’s Church there will be an exhibition and sale of over 200 paintings by local artists, plus unframed paintings and prints. In the churchyard there will be entertainment, a craft fair, white elephant stall, second-hand bookstall, tombola, raffle, home produce sales, and other attractions, including all-day barbecue. Saturday 10.30 am to 6.30 pm, and Sunday 10.30 am to 4.30 pm. Admission £1; free parking.
Across the road at The Mount will be staged two open-air theatre performances by Heartbreak Productions, a national touring theatre company founded in 1991.
Murder on the Terrace at 7.00 pm Saturday evening and Shakespeare’s The Tempest at 5.00 pm Sunday.
Murder on the Terrace: This original mystery by David Kerby-Kendall combines suspense with comedy. Suitable for 8 years +.

The Tempest: With masks, dance and song, this troupe will transport you to Prospero’s magical isle. Suitable for 8 years +.

Adults £15, concessions £13, children £10, family 2+2 £45. Purchase tickets before 6 August and get a £1 reduction per ticket and £2 reduction on the family ticket. Free parking.
